About Me

Hi,

I’m a good ole southern boy that did what I was told would help me be successful in the world. I went to school, did my studies. I went on to graduate from state schools and got a pharmacy degree. I work as a pharmacist at a psychiatric hospital locally. However, I’ve found myself with an itch to get back to my roots. My great grandfather, his daddy before him, and pretty much as far back as I can get history have all lived off the land. We’re a bootstrap family.

Looking at the external pressures on the environment I got into beekeeping in this part of my life to help recenter and ground me back in the ways of my elders and in the world around me. You can’t hardly help but marvel in the joys of nature while you watch the miraculous world of bees while you tend them, watch them forage, or give them new space to grow. Seemingly each day, each week, and each year I learn something new about my bees and more widely the bees around the world. Come with me as we explore, taste some delicious honey, and more than anything don’t be afraid to be a little bit inquisitive along the way.
